Extreme migraine

Hi everyone.    I just skyped with Gerry.   He is down with a very nasty migraine.     We hope he will be well enough to continue tomorrow.

He is particularly disappointed because he had to stand up his friends.   They were going to play tourist today in Santiago.   None of them are going on to the End of the World, so he may not get to say good bye.     I sure hope they meet up this evening somewhere.   :(

  1. Hey Gerry... just a short storey. A few years back, I sold my business. Didn't know what the hell to do next. Instead of throwing a huge party, invited my two closest girlfriends to Tulum Mexico for a quiet party.

You and Brenda know Tulum and that rocky beach road curve that takes you south. Well, once we three shrieked with delight at our first glimpse of the ocean, we immediately broke into song. REM - "it's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine." The cabbie even sang along after the twelfth chorus.

So, congratulations on arriving in Santiago and hope that in a few days you can actually shout out this verse for real.

  2. Hi Gerry. Sure hope you feel better very soon. I am so glad Brenda mentioned this blog to me. I have spent a good portion of this Canada Day reading your adventure and will keep on visiting until I get caught up. If you get the chance to travel a little during your last week you may want to check out Cordoba...or if you are tired of medieval towns, there is also Nerja on the south coast. Both are great places to visit - one for great food and the other for great views of the Med with some sun and relaxation thrown in. Look forward to seeing you back in "The Beach". Take good care.

    1. Hey Carol Thanks I have no idea what I will be doing yet. Just want to get to the end of the world and the end of the walk then I will see if I have enough energy to do anything. Say hi to Andy
